Reno mattresses are used for river bank and scour protection, channel linings for erosion control, and embankment stability. They are filled with rock at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures to promote rapid growth of natural vegetation. All the physical and mechanical properties of Maccaferri Reno mattresses meet or exceed the requirements of ASTM A975-97.
Reno mattress construction does not require skilled labor because they are very easy to build. Standard construction equipment can be used. Structures can be built in stages,fieldfence-Sludge Dewatering Belt, if necessary,Nails,Crimped wire mesh-Razor Wire, and baskets can be prefilled and launched to enable the installation under water. Site assistance is available from any Maccaferri area office.

The base section of the Reno mattress is divided into compartments and filled with stones at the project site. With lids secured, Reno mattresses form flexible,Geotextile-Geotextile,钢格栅安装夹, permeable, monolithic structures.
Reno mattresses are environmentally friendly products. The blending of Reno mattress structures into the environment is rapid and pleasing. Advantages and distinctions of Maccaferri Reno mattresses:
The stone fill allows the water to seep through the structure while retaining the soil, therefore no additional drainage is required to relieve the hydrostatic pressures.
The woven mesh system has the capability of withstanding unexpected and/or localized stresses due to ground settlements and scour by deflection while maintaining its structural integrity.
This is a mattress shaped version of the gabion used mainly for erosion control when the retaining properties of box gabions are not required.
Their strength lies in their double twisted hexagonal mesh of steel wire which is reinforced by selvedges of heavier wire running along the edges.
The base section is divided into compartments to restrict the movement of stone and strengthen the structure.
The lid is supplied as a separate panel.
The wire will not unravel even when cut.
Assembly is easy, requiring no specialized labor and nearby rock is used for fill.
Free drainage and 30-35% voids allow vegetation to grow.

The Reno mattress is a structure made of hexagonal double twisted wire mesh. Reno mattresses are filled with stones at the project site to form flexible and permeable, monolithic structures such as river bank protection and channel linings for erosion control. The steel wire used to manufacture the mattress is heavily zinc-coated soft temper steel. The standard combinations of mesh is shown in Table. In order to reinforce the structure, all mesh panel edges are selvedged with a wire having a greater diameter. Reno mattresses are divided into uniformly partitioned cells by internal diaphragms.

Gabion are baskets manufactured from 8x10 double twisted hexagonal woven steel wire mesh,sheep fence-Field Fence,Cattle Fence, as per ASTM A975-97 Gabions are filled with stones at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures such as retaining walls, channel linings, and weirs for erosion control projects. The steel wire used in the manufacture of the gabion is heavily Galfan (zinc-5% aluminum-mischmetal [Zn-5 Al-MM] alloy) coated soft temper steel. A PVC coating is then applied to provide additional protection for use in polluted,wire mesh-Black Iron Wire, contaminated or aggressive environments: in salt, fresh water,电焊网, acid soil or wherever the risk of corrosion is present. The PVC coating has a nominal thickness of 0.02 in. (0.50 mm). The gabion is divided into cells by diaphragms positioned at approximately 3 ft (0.9m) centers. To reinforce the structure, all mesh panel edges are selvedged with a wire having a greater diameter. Gabions shall be manufactured and shipped with all components mechanically connected at the production facility.

The HESCO barrier or HESCO bastion is a modern gabion box used for flood control and military fortification. is made of a collapsible wire mesh container and heavy duty fabric liner, and used as a temporary to semi-permanent dike or barrier against blast or small-arms.
